How Should I Use VaniqaEflornithine?
Vaniqa Eflornithine is a prescribed medication used to the skin for the shrinking of unwanted facial hair in women. The active ingredient in this drug is eflornithine hydrochloride. There are also other ingredients that constitute VANIQA such as, ceteareth-20, cetearyl alcohol, dimethicone, glyceryl stearate, methylparaben, mineral oil, PEG-100 stearate, phenoxyethanol, propylparaben, stearyl alcohol and water.

Make use of Vaniqa Eflornithine only for the condition for which it was prescribed by your doctor. Do not share it with other people.

This drug is available with an additional patient leaflet. Follow the instructions for application carefully. Make an overlook it each time you get Eflornithine Cream refilled. Ask your doctor or pharmacist any doubts that you may have about the drug.
Use a thin coating of Vaniqa Eflornithine Cream to the affected areas of the face and under the chin, at least 5 minutes after hair removal (eg, plucking, shaving). Rub in thoroughly. Do not clean the treated area for at least 4 hours. The patient can apply another dose of this medication after 8 hours. The patient may use cosmetics or sunscreens to treated areas after Eflornithine Cream has dried.
You should carry on your normal procedures for hair removal until desired results have been achieved. You may then be less bothered by the time spent in removing hair or the frequency of hair removal. Vaniqa Eflornithine should be used twice daily, at least eight hours at a distance, or as directed by your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Eflornithine Cream, skip the missed dose and come back to your regular dosing agenda. Do not apply 2 doses immediately.
VANIQA® may cause temporary red- ness, rash, burning, stinging or tingling, particularly when the skin is damaged. If irritation persists, stop use of it and seek help of your doctor. Avoid contact of this medication from your eyes or inside your nose or mouth. If the product gets in your eyes, clean thoroughly with water and make contact with your doctor.
You may use your normal cosmetics or sunscreen after applying Vaniqa Eflornithine cream, but you should wait a few minutes to allow the treatment to be absorbed before applying them.
If your condition gets worse with treatment, stop use and contact your doctor.
It is necessary to inform your health care provider or pharmacist about other medications you may be using, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you start treatment with this medication. Also, discuss with your doctor or pharmacist before start using any new medicines while using this one, to ensure the safety.
