Vaniqa Eflornithine Cream is used for slowing the growth of unwanted facial hair in women. This medicine is an enzyme inhibitor. It works by blocking an enzyme necessary for hair to grow. It should not be used in patients who are allergic to any ingredient in Eflornithine Cream. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy. It can not be used in males; girls aged less than 12 years, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Vaniqa ought to be used on the face and under the chin. Avoid contact of Vaniqa Eflornithine Cream with the eyes and the moist membranes lining the inside of certain parts of the body, eg mouth, nasal passages (mucous membranes). Wash with cold water if accidental contact occurs. Keep away from using on broken or irritated skin. It should not be used on skin immediately after using any other hair removal method. In pregnancy and breast-feeding this medicine may not be right to use. If you become pregnant, check with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Eflornithine Cream during pregnancy. It is unidentified if Vaniqa Eflornithine is excreted in breast milk. If you are breast-feeding whilst you are using Eflornithine Cream, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
